You Pick It, I Stick It

I love this Tucker dress. I was soooo happy when I found out it was being re-released by Target! A lot of other blog ladies bought and have worn this dress as well. I love it. Is it okay to wear it every day?

Walgreen's had all Revlon make-up buy one get one 50% off. I had wanted to try their lip stain for a while. I bought Just Bitten in Crave (Ulta is running the same special and you can purchase it online through their sight.)
I'm not sure how I feel about this lip stain. I need to figure out how to apply it with an even consistency. It is a bit spotty. I applied some MAC lipglass on top and the problem was solved.
I also purchased Revlon Moon Drops in Orange Flip. Not all retailers that carry Revlon sell the Moon Drops lip stick. I couldn't find it at Wal-Mart last night and it isn't available on the Ulta website either. I'll post a review of that product after I have tested it out.

I got new ink this week! I love it! It also hurt a whole lot. I have two other tattoos and this was hands down the worst. If you have any tattoos, how many do you have and which one hurt the most?

The title of this blog is a line from the movie Son In Law. Flea is the tattoo artist in the movie and that is his line in the movie.

Ten on Tuesday

This week I started a new eating plan and I am missing my yummy, comfort foods a little so I thought I would participate in this week's Ten on Tuesday hosted by Roots and Rings since it is all about food!

1. What condiments are always, always in your fridge?
Ketchup made with high fructose corn syrup and spicy mustard are always in my fridge. I would say some sort of salad dressing is always in there as well. Typically I go for balsamic vinaigrette but sometimes I get a craving for some other kind.

2. How do you like your steak cooked? Your burgers?
I like my burgers cooked well done and my steaks cooks medium rare. Although most restaurants over cook the steak when you ask for medium rare which is disappointing. I rarely eat red meat and want my steak perfect when I do. A1 is definitely a must have for steaks.

3. What's your favorite use for fresh tomatoes?
I love eating fresh tomatoes sliced all by themself. Yum, yum.

4. What's your go to dinner when you haven't planned anything in advance and don't feel like going out?
Kraft Deluxe 2% mac n cheese. Sooooo yummy. Mac n cheese is a complete meal, right?

5. What's your favorite snack food lately?
I have been craving Sour Patch Kids a lot lately. I used to be obsessed with those as a kid. I can definitely eat an entire pack in one sitting if I don't watch myself. My favorite go to healthy snack is a banana or a spoon full of natural peanut butter.

6. What's your favorite weekend breakfast to make at home?
Typically on the weekends I will eat eggs and toast for breakfast. It is super easy and I am not too talented at making breakfast foods. I also love french toast though. I never make it myself. Lately I have been trying to lose weight and french toast with syrup isn't exactly healthy.

7. What's your favorite thing to grill? How do you do it?
The only grill I own is a George Foreman. Tilapia is my favorite thing to fix on it. It only takes 5 minutes to cook and it is a super healthy option for dinner when paired with zucchini and a side salad.

8. What's your favorite wine for under $10? If you are not a wine person, what brand of beer is your favorite?
I love wine. I don't live near a Trader Joe's but I have friends in Charlotte and when I visit them I always stock up on different options on their wines that are under $5. Some are pretty good and others are terrible but they are inexpensive so it isn't a big deal if I don't care for the wine. My favorite beer would be Blue Moon, Shock Top, or Mothership Wit. Typically I keep Coors Lite in the fridge though.

9. Give us your most delicious cocktail receipe?
Well, my cocktail receipes aren't trade secrets. I like cranberry and vodka or rum and diet coke.

10. How do you like your eggs?
I love eggs. I will eat them fried or scrambled. Typically I eat fried eggs though.

All Knotted Up

Living in the same area as most of my family is great but sometimes I really wished I lived in an younger, hipper area. More activities to participate in would be amazing. Usual Saturday activities should not include shopping!

This is how my necklaces are now displayed/stored. The hooks are adorable. I bought them at Urban Outfitters last year. I should have picked up a few more. Now it is unacceptable because it is a big tangled mess waiting to happen. At Target today I found a four pack of pretty drawer knobs on clearance for $4. The knobs were originally $18. Yay for clearance! Tomorrow I plan to go to Lowe's and get a piece of wood. Using the knobs and wood I will make additional jewelry storage. A friend of mine did something similar and posted the pictures on facebook. I'll post pictures once I get the project finished.

Accessories are Addicting

Howdy!

Kayla at Freckles in April participated in the handwriting game and invited other bloggers to do so as well. It allows bloggers to see what each other's handwriting looks like. Fun! Right?!

Here are the questions:

1. What is your name and blogger name?

2. What's your blog's URL?

3. Write, "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog."

4. Favorite quote?

5. Favorite song?

6. Favorite band/singers?

7. Anything else you want to say?

My answers:

I got to shop at Charming Charlie yesterday! Yay! I was like a kid in a candy store! All the jewelry is sorted by color! It is fabulous! Plus everything is reasonable priced. Most necklaces were $9.95 - $14.95 and earrings were $7.95. I bought a few cute pieces. I will definitely have to keep myself out of that store. It is nice to have such an amazing accessory store in my area though. Below are my purchases:

I bought 4 necklaces, 2 rings, a pair of earrings and a bag! I can't wait to wear my new purchases!

Copy Cat

So, I basically stole this outfit idea from Liz over at 26 And Counting. Her outfit was just too adorable and I couldn't pass up the oppportunity to replicate it. Here is how Liz wore it:

I am wearing my new tights from We Love Colors today! The tights are pretty awesome. They are very pigmented. They didn't roll down constantly which is awesome. By the end of the day most tights I wear are constantly rolling down. That is incredibly frustrating! The only negative to the tights is that they are pretty thick. I don't know if I will be able to wear them once the weather warms up.

Leggings Are Pants Too!

I'm still experimenting with flash and no flash pics. The top pic I used the flash and the bottom I didn't use a flash. I need Photoshop and I need a Photoshop course.

I wore leggings as pants for the very first time today. I was a little self-conscious out in public. I don't think I received too many strange looks though. So I declare them a success!

I ordered two of the dress I wanted from the Go International Dress collection. I ordered both of the Tucker dresses I liked. I felt these dresses were the most casual and the most me. Has any one else picked up dresses from the collection?

I Regret To Inform You.....

As you can see, my legs are so pale they are almost purple. Hopefully purplish skin is in season this year. I know I will be sporting it a lot. Well, that is if the weather perks up. I wore this outfit on Saturday and it was a bit chilly. When I woke up Sunday, it was sleeting!! Hello, it is March, in Tennessee! I don't want to see anything that resembles snow right now!

Also, I again have decided not to finish out the 3o for 3o challenge. I have decided that it is just not for me. I love the lessons I have learned through remixing but by day 15 I get bored and stop having fun. It is supposed to be fun, right? I do enough in my life because I have to and if I can't enjoy my whole closet...... well it just doesn't feel right. So I hope none of the awesome people that read my blog will judge me for being a drop-out. I still thoroughly enjoyed looking at the blogs of those who did finish the 30 for 30 Challenge.

Going forward, I am going to work on incorporating the items of clothing in my closet that don't get enough wear. Also, I am going to take some cues from Jamie @ Work Your Closet and find inspiration and outfits I love in fashion magazine or outfits worn by other bloggers that I love and use what I own to re-create that look.

On another note, I really liked my outfit in today's post. It was put-together and comfy! What a great combo.

Friend Friday

Ahhh!!! I haven't posted this week! Sorry about that. I've been fairly busy but I hope to start back with regular posting as of now.

1. What's your favorite drug store makeup product and your favorite higher end product?

My favorite drug store beauty product is Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. Best chapstick EVER!

My favorite higher end beauty item is Smashbox High Definition Liquid Concealer or Bare Minerals Original SPF 15 Foundation. I have used Bare Minerals for years. I discovered it after watching an informerical and ordered it. I am so glad I did!

2. Is there one type of product that is your go-to, can't live without?

I would say that would have to be Burt's Bees Lip Balm or mascara. Right now I am using Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Volumizing Mascara.

3. What's the best hair product you have ever used?

A couple of months ago my hair stylist introduced me to the wonders of Moroccan Oil. It is amazing! It makes my hair super soft and somehow manages to shorten my blow-drying time. This is definitely worth the money. A small bottle lasts a looong time for me and I have very thick hair.

4. Fess up, what's the worst beauty look you've tried to rock and look back now with a little shame or apprehension that you actually did that?

I can't really think of much that I am ashamed of but there are definitely things I would never try again. I got a body wave in my hair when I was 18. That was an awful idea. Also I would consider using the tanning bed as a beauty mistake I made in my youth.

5. When it comes to beauty products, we all use the same basic products. What do you use that helps show off your personal flair and personality?

I have never really thought about how my beauty rituals help me show off my own flair or personality. I do have to say that when I take the time to fix my hair and put on makeup I do feel more put together. This in turn helps me feel more comfortable talking to and approaching people. That probably seems a bit silly but it is true.

I saw Take Me Home Tonight. I have a crush on Topher Grace. Is it me or does Tori remind you of Kristen Stewart?
